Mrs. Emma Jones was born Oct. 22 1869, in Clayton county the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Engelhardt. She died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Fiss, at Minneapolis, Minn. She was united in marriage to Jeff Jones, Oct. 22, 1886. To this union seven children were born. Cora, Laura, Orval (died in infancy), Alva died Jan. 11, 1919.
Survivors are three children, Lillian (Mrs. F. A. Fiss) of Minneapolis, Minn.; Harvey of Waukon; Ruth (Mrs. Ray Connors) of Nashua; three brothers, Lewis, John and Robert Engelhardt; two sisters Mrs. Martha Boller, Cresco; Mrs. Alma Oelke, Michell, S.Dak.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Those from out of town attending the funeral services were: Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Fiss, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Connor of Nashua; Dennis and Pat Connor of Davenport; Mrs. Martha Boller, and Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Boller of Cresco; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jones, Chester; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Coleman, Minneapolis, Minn. The Rev. C. O. Stadsklev, of Gospel Temple, Minneapolis, officiated and Mrs. Stadsklev was soloist.
Funeral services were held from the Schultz funeral home, Saturday afternoon, Feb. 10, 1951 at one o'clock.
Interment was made in the U.B. cemetery, Rev. Albert Ebert officiated.
