The death of Mrs. Harry Shea, 58, occurred Wednesday, Jan. 02, 1957, at St. Mary's hospital, Rochester, Minn., where she had been a medical patient for eleven days. Mrs. Shea had been in failing health for more than two months.

She was the former Mary Cecelia Doyle, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Doyle, born in Canada April 27, 1898.

She was a graduate registered nurse and was employed in Detroit, Mich., before her marriage to Harry H. Shea on April 25, 1932.

Since the year 1933 they have resided on their farm east of Volga.

Mrs. Shea was a member of Sacred Heart church in Volga, the Women's Guild, Alter society, and Sacred Heart league.

Her husband survives; also one brother, Osborne J. Doyle, Detroit, Mich, and other relatives.

Services were held Saturday from the Witt funeral home in Elkader to Sacred Heart Catholic church at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Father Karl J. Klein, pastor, celebrated the Requiem High Mass and officiated at the graveside in the church cemetery, where interment was made.

Casket bearers were: William Orr, Ralph Hansel, and Loy Shea, Volga; Howard Meyers, Dale Cheeseman, and Henry Possehl, Elkader.

Relatives and friends from a distance who attended the funeral were: Osborne Doyle, Detroit, Mich; Miss Margaret M. Shea, R.N., Dubuque; Mrs. Richard Steinwand and son Paul, Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shea, Cresco; Mr. and Mrs. James Shea and family, Fennimore, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Neylan, Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Hurley, Angela and Colette, and Will Orr, Elkader; Tom, Ellen and Mary Flanagan, Wadena.
