Funeral services were held Monday in the Marion Lutheran church at Gunder for Mrs. Anna Loftsgard, 79, who died at her farm home south of Postville. The Rev. S. J. Strandjord, pastor, officiated and burial was in the Gunder cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry and Maurice Amundson, Richard and Elmer Olson, Calvin Nelson, and Orlando Loftsgard, all grandsons.

As Anna Jallum [sic] she was born Dec. 22, 1862, near St. Olaf. She lived in the vicinity of Gunder all her life. Her husband, Nels Loftsgard, died two years ago. She is survived by a brother, Gunder Jallum, of Gunder; four sons, Melvin, Louis and Ole, all of Gunder, and Theodore of Clermont; six daughters, Mrs. Henry Olson and Mrs. Ole Amundson of Clermont, Mrs. Elmer Nelson of Elgin, Mrs. Henry Amundson of Postville, Mrs. Roy Johanningmeier of Luana, and Sophia at home, and several grandchildren.
