June 03, at the Congregational Christian church occurred the marriage of Miss Bonnie Mae Lemka, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis W. Lemka, and Martin Clair Schwietert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben B. Schwietert of Colesburg. Rev. Herbert G. Kelly officiated. The wedding march was played by Miss Joann Meyer of Evanston, Ill., a cousin of the bride. Arthur Holthaus, cousin of the groom, sang two selections, and was accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Harold Holthaus. Mrs. William Butschi, Coggan, sister of the groom, was matron of honor, and Miss Pat Roeder, Evanston, Ill., and Miss Joan Bush acted as bridesmaids. Sandra Kay Lemka, sister of the bride, acted as flower girl, and little Margaret Lynn Butschi, niece of the groom, carried the rings. Dick Wilson of Iowa City was best man, and Warren Schwietert, brother of the groom, and William Ehrhardt Jr. were the ushers. Duane Klink was junior attendant. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lemka Sr. and Mrs. Bertha Baars, grandparents of the bride were also present for the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Elkader high school and for the past two years has been employed at the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. The groom is a graduate of the Colesburg consolidated high school, and since that time has been associated with his father, farming near Colesburg, where the new home will be made.
