The Peace Evangelical and Reformed church of Elkader, Iowa, was the setting last Sunday for the marriage of Miss Yvonne Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo M. Murphy of Elkader, and Cpl. Edw. E. Smith, son of Mrs. Geraldine Smith of Phillipsburg, N.J. Pastor of the church, the Rev. Paul Kitterer, officiated. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond MacTaggart. Ushers were Larry White and Edward Olsen.
The bride, a graduate of the Elkader high school, is at present employed by the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. The groom, graduate of the Phillipsburg, N.J., high school, is stationed at Keesler Air Base at Biloxi, Miss., where he is attending radio school.
Mrs. Smith returned to Biloxi with her husband, where she will spend two weeks before returning to Elkader to her work.
