Gruel - Klinkenberg marriage - 1941

In St. John's Lutheran church at Farmersburg, Iva Mae Klinkenberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Klinkenberg, and Floyd Gruel, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gruel, were united in marriage, Wednesday, Dec. 03. The Rev. H. M. Adix officiated. Eloise Klinkenberg sang two selections, and with Vernida Klinkenberg were ushers. Mary Jean Klinkenberg, sister of the bride, and Lee Klinkenberg, cousin of the bride, acted as flower girl and boy.

The bride is a graduate of the Elkader high school and has been teaching the Erin school. Mr. Gruel attended the Farmersburg high school and will be operating a farm 2 miles north of Farmersburg after Dec. 10, where the home will be made.
