Szemkus - Pieper marriage - 1941

CLAYTON: Saturday, Nov. 08, Miss Stella Louise Pieper, daughter of Wm. Pieper of Davenport, and Henry R. Szemkus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Szemkus of Elkader, were united in marriage at the Lutheran church here by the Rev. Wm. Goetz of Dubuque. Miss LaVerne Mohning of Clayton was the bridesmaid, and Marvin Kainz was the groomsman.

Prior to the ceremony a dinner in honor of the couple was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Hetz, with whom the bride has lived since childhood.
