SERVICES HELD FOR EARL IRVIN HALL
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Methodist church in Nashua with the Rev. E. C. Allen officiating, for Earl Irvin Hall, 74, of Waterloo. Mr. Hall died at 10:00 a. m. last Wednesday at his home of complications incident to advanced age. He was a retired carpenter.
Mr. Hall was born Dec. 26, 1874, in Chickasaw county, Iowa, the son of Darwin and Charlotte Hall. He married Maude Cook, Nov. 21, 1900 at Waverly, and they made their home in Nashua until 1929 when they moved to Waterloo.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Russell G. Meyers, LeRoy, Ill., seven sons, John Dale, Arthur, William and Burdette, all of Waterloo; Troy of Bethany, Mo.; Stuart, Elma, Wash.; Stanley of San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Runyon, Bemidji, Minn.; Mrs. Zelia Ireland, San Francisco, Calif.; and Mrs. Hattie Scott Gallaway of Skagway, Alaska; two brothers, Warren of Beloit, Wis.; and LeRoy Navato, Calif. Eighteen grandchildren also survive.
Pall bearers were Orlo Stevens, George Stevenson, Roy Zwanziger, Elmer Powers, Roy Nafus and A. C. Davidson. Mrs. C. A. Hoon sang and was accompanied by Mrs. Earl Chenoweth. Flower ladies were Mrs. Maude Emmons and Miss Bertha Coffman. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.Source Unknown – probably local newspaper
