Obituary of Mrs. C. E. Wright.
Emilie M. Hall was born August 19, 1856{?}, at Ellenburg, New York, and passed away at her home in Ionia on August 16, 1920, following an illness of several months’ duration.
When about ten years of age she moved with her parents to Monona, Iowa, and later the family moved to Nashua where she grew to womanhood. On January 1, 1874, she was united in marriage to Charles E. Wright, and to this union was born two sons, Elwin A. Wright of Nashua, and Percy E., who died in childhood.
For many years the family made their home in Nashua, moving to Ionia a few years ago.
Mrs. Wright was a woman beloved of all who knew her. She was a faithful member of the Methodist church while a resident of Nashua and on her removal to Ionia she united with the Congregational church of that city. She is survived by her husband and one son Elwin A., besides many other relatives and friends who mourn the departure of a true and devoted wife and mother and a good friend.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Artz, were held at the Congregational church in Ionia Wednesday, August 18, at 2 p. m. and the body was laid to rest in Greenwood cemetery at Nashua.
Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Lee Howdeshell of Minneapolis, a sister: Mrs. Alice Mason, Mr. and Mrs. Jud Green, and Mrs. Frank Botheral of Monona; Mrs. J. W. Bradford of Chicago; Mrs. E. V. R. Hall, Mrs. A. H. Pickard, Mrs. H. M. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith, of Nashua; Glenn Kepple and family of Charles City.
