Death of Mrs. Terryberry
Died, Tuesday, August 4, 1896, of heart disease, Julia, wife of Robert Terryberry, aged 45 years, 8 months and 7 days.
Mrs. Terryberry recovered from a serious attack of her complaint about two months ago, and hopes were entertained that she would ultimately be restored to health. Two weeks ago, another attack came on which was more than her weakened constitution could stand, and on Tuesday morning at nine o’clock, she passed away. For several days previous to her death, she suffered greatly.
Julia Dull was the oldest child of D. E. and J. J. Dull, and was born at Shullsburg, Layfayette, County, Wis. She was united in marriage with Robert Terryberry Feb. 9, 1876. Her early life was spent in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, and in March 1886, she came to Cherokee county, Iowa and moved on a farm two miles east of Meriden, where she has since resided. She was the mother of three children, the oldest of which died in infancy, and two, a girl and boy, who survive her. She joined the M.E. Church at an early age and has lived a consistent Christian life.
The funeral was held in the Presbyterian church at this place Thursday afternoon. A large concourse of friends attended the services and followed the remains to the Meriden cemetery where the burial took place (Source: The Cherokee Democrat, Wed., Aug. 12, 1896, pg. 5)
