Injuries Cause Aged Lady’s Death

Mrs. James Richardson died Tuesday a.m. at Sioux Valley hospital from the effects of fracture of the hip, sustained in a fall two weeks ago, at the age of 79 years.

She was born in New York state and married James Richardson in Franklin County, Iowa. They removed to Cherokee county, making their home in Afton township until their removal to Cherokee.

One daughter, deceased, was born to them. There are four grandchildren: Mrs. J. L. Shaw of Chicago; Mrs. R. B. Spitz of Mattoon, Ill., both of whom have been here for several days; Hampton Bell of Evansville, Ind., and Miss Alice Bell, at home, Mattoon, Ill., who will attend the funeral which will probably be held at the Wallace chapel, Thursday.

The husband survives. There are numerous relatives in Dakota. (Source: The Cherokee Chief, Thurs., Oct. 18, 1928, pg. 2)
