Dorothy Louise “Dotty Lou” Vollman, 70, of Nevis, Minnesota and former Quimby, Iowa resident, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 1998, in Houston, Texas.

Funeral services were held July 8, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Nevis.

Mrs. Vollman was born November 26, 1928, in rural Marcus, Iowa to Carl and Dorothy (Fairchild) Johnson. The family moved to Minnesota, and she graduated from high school in Nevis. She worked one summer at Cantine’s restaurant in Quimby, returned to Minnesota and on December 30, 1951, she married Don Vollman. He passed away August 17, 1996. She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Nevis.

Survivors include a son, William, Paris, France; two daughters, Helen and her husband, Rainford Martin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Kani, Sugar Land, Texas; two grandchildren; Quinton and Cory Martin; her parents; two brothers: Deane Johnson and his wife, Lorna, Chehabi, Washington; and Richard Johnson and his wife, LuAnn, Burnsville, Minnesota; a sister, Sharon Ness, Lutz, Florida; uncles, Gunnard Johnson, Storm Lake, Iowa; and Lennard Johnson, Quimby; an aunt Olga Larson, Quimby; and several nieces and nephews.
