Funeral services for Martha Timm, 76, Tipton, were held June 10, 1989 at the First United Church of Christ in Tipton, with the Rev. Robert Molsberry officiating. The organist was Betty Trevathan and Deny and Jill Brown sang. Pallbearers were Edward, Robert, Russell, Andy, Jerald and Tony Timm and Clifford Krutsinger. Honorary pallbearers were Dawn, Richard and Christopher Stickley, Alicia, Karen and Jennifer Timm and Cynthia Harrison. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Mrs. Timm died June 7 at University hospitals in Iowa City.
The daughter of Johannis and Ella Kroeger Wehde, she was born Feb. 24, 1913 in Cedar county. She married Edward Timm June 6, 1932 in Rock Island, Ill.
Mrs. Timm was a graduate of Tipton high school and was a member of the United Church of Christ and the Rebekah Lodge in Tipton. She taught school prior to her marriage and retired as a cook at University hospitals.
She is survived by 3 sons, Walter, Hiawatha and Roger and Richard, both of Tipton; a daughter, JoAnne Stickley, Salem, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers, Chris Wehde, Marion and Harry and Harold Wehde, both of Tipton. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1959, 2 sons, 2 sisters and 2 grandsons.
