Last rites for Mrs. Louie (Vesta P.) Marolf, 96, were held at Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton, May 1 with the Rev. Robert J. Davis Mayo officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Marolf, Harold Hahn, Brian Reed, Jerry Davies, Albert Dangston and Darius Kraklio.

Mrs. Marolf died at Beverly Manor Convalescent Home, Iowa City, April 28.

The daughter of James and Sarah Elizabeth Johnston Rush, she was born in Cedar county Nov. 24, 1982. She married Louie Marolf May 9, 1925.

Mrs. Marolf worked for many years at Nelson Hardware in Wilton. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Moscow; the American Legion Auxiliary and the Methodist Rutheans of Wilton. Memorials may be made to Trinity church, Moscow.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eloise Schooley, Coralville; several nephews and nieces, including Mrs. Herbert (Florence) Richey, North Liberty, who she raised from infancy. She was preceded in death by her husband and 4 sisters.
