Memorial services for Frances Ferguson Brown, 74, were held at the Mechanicsville Presbyterian church May 1 with the Rev. Jaymee Glen Burns officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Dorothy Russell was organist. Betty Emrich was vocalist.

Miss Brown died at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, April 26.

The daughter of Raymond Ralph and Lua Wilson Brown, she was born at Bitter Creek, Wy. Oct. 5, 1914. She graduated from South Hills high school, Pittsburgh, Pa. and lived in Wyoming, Texas, Pennsylvania and Iowa. She worked as an in-home companion and care giver.

She was a member of First Presbyterian church, Mechanicsville, the Rebekah lodge and a neighborhood birthday club.

She is survived by an aunt, Ethel Hanes, Waterloo and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
