Funeral services for Raymond E. Adams, 55, a native of Tipton, were held at Zion Lutheran church, Wilton, April 28, 1989 with the Rev. Curtis Moermond officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl and Douglas Little, Pat Lowry, Art and Al Sessler and Larry Gottschalk. Linda Timm was organist.
Mr. Adams died at his home in Wilton April 25.
The son of Clarence and Lula Bell Griener Adams, he was born in Tipton Dec. 6, 1933. He married Vivian Gottschalk at Lowden June 22, 1952. The couple farmed in the Bennett area until 1977 when they moved to Wilton. He was employed by North Star Steel.
Mr. Adams was a member of Zion Lutheran church and Local No. 8581 United Steel Workers of America.
He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Darold, Sunbury and Jeffrey, Wilton; 2 daughters, Mrs. Donald (Sharon) Mockmore, Wilton and Mrs. Patrick (Lisa) Staggs, Stockton; 6 grandchildren and 5 sisters, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Mack, Ainsworth, Nebr.; Mrs. Robert (Alice) Wilson, Daytona Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Richard (Mary) Jensen, Neilsville, Wis.; Mrs. Jerry (Joyce) Mohrmann, Escondido, Calif. and Mrs. Steve (Carol) Hachney, Salem, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
