Funeral services for Charles J. Hines, 90, a lifelong resident of the Cedar county area, were held in Wilton April 24 with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayne J. Ford, Robert Gust, Dean Birkhofer and Richard Wageman.

Mr. Hines died at the Wilton Nursing Home, April 22.

The son of Myron and Ruth Farley Hines, he was born in Cedar county Feb. 13, 1899. He married Elsie Mae Frymoyer in Muscatine Dec. 7, 1921. He retired from the John Deere Plow Works in 1962.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Amber Kruger and Vera Hines, Mechanicsville. He was preceded in death by his wife and several sisters and brothers.
