Funeral services for Henry P. Wiskus Sr., 81, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home Oct. 24 with the Rev. Joseph P. Hines officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Jerry, Mike, Mark, Marlin and Matt Wiskus, Greg and Maury Jones and Kevin Husman. Another grandson, Brian Jefferson was an honorary pallbearer.

Mr. Wiskus died at his home Oct. 21.

The son of Theodore G. and Frances A. Steffes Wiskus, he was born July 19, 1905. He attended the Denham schools. He was married to Eunice N. Wagner at Carroll Aug. 2, 1932.

A resident of Tipton for 50 years, he was a retired welder.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Rod (Bernice) Jones, Vinton; Mrs. Harold (Patricia) Husman, Anamosa and Mrs. James (Teresa) Jefferson, Sparta, Wis.; 3 sons, Henry P. Jr., Tipton; Larry, Mason City and Wesley, Clear Lake, 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Riesenberg, Rosell; Mrs. Mary Kirsch, Carroll; Mrs. Rose Wagner, Stanwood; Mrs. Carmelita Daniel, Ames; Sister Louise Wiskus, Oklahoma and Mrs. Bernadine Cashner, Carroll and 2 brothers, Andrew, Tipton and William, Bancroft. He was preceded in death by his wife, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
