Funeral services for Dorothy Techau, 74, Stanwood, were held Aug. 11 at the Union church in Stanwood, with the Rev. Sue Detwiler officiating. Mrs. Michael Ellingson sang and pallbearers were Ray Davis, Bill Phillips, Dale Dunston, Bob Dunston, David Dunston and Larry Techau. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Mrs. Techau died Aug. 9 at Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids.

The daughter of Thomas and Dessa Pauley Allen, she was born Jan. 29, 1912 in Tipton. She married Ervin Techau June 18, 1930 in Tipton. He died in 1971.

Mrs. Techau and her husband operated the Stanwood locker until 1964 and she had resided in Stanwood since 1941.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Ray (Shirley) Dunston, Stanwood and Cindy Frey, Cedar Rapids, 3 sons, James, Roseville, Calif.; Richard, Santa Paula, Calif. and Thomas, Littleton, Colo.; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 sisters.
