Funeral services for Homer C. Small, 75, Tipton, were held Aug. 12 at Sheets and Son Funeral Home in Tipton, with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Pallbearers were Roscoe Millett, Raymond Millett, Stewart Mather, Hershal Gray, Joe Conway and Herb Sondergard. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Mr. Small died Aug. 8 at University hospitals in Iowa City after a brief illness.
The son of Watt A. and Margaret J. Cessford Small, he was born May 3, 1911 in Cedar county near Tipton. He attended the Springdale schools.
Mr. Small was a farmer and a lifetime resident of the Tipton area.
He is survived by 2 brothers, Walter Small, Tipton and Stanley Small, West Liberty; 5 sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Hazel) Dewey, Iowa City; Mrs. Leslie (Fern) Harris, Jacksonville, Ark.; Mrs. Esther Murphy, West Branch; Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Conner, Ft. Myers, Fla. and Mrs. Richard (Florence) Wigim, West Liberty and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
