Funeral services for Bernhardt L. Tholen, 43, former Tipton resident, will be held at the Old North Church, Forest Lawn cemetery, Hollywood Hills, Calif., at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24. Mr. Tholen died at St. Joseph's Medical center, Burbank, Calif., April 20.

The son of Ben and Annie Tholen, he was a 1960 Tipton high school graduate.

He is survived by his wife, Candy; his mother, Mrs. Annie Tholen, Tipton; 4 sisters, Dorothea Ede, Milwaukee, Wis.; Enora Husman, Center Junction; Annette Schirm, Cedar Rapids and Patricia Jennings, Davenport and 3 brothers, Harold, Council Bluffs and Herbert and John, Tipton.
