You're close. Bob and Helen were my inlaws. Their daughter, Kelly was 8 when they were murdered. She did indeed find them in their bedroom. Helen did not surprise the killer, he knew them through AmWay and had been stalking them for weeks, it was reported in the trail. Evidently it was premeditated. AmWay is the reason they are dead. They portrayed the idead that they had money when they did not, to keep up witht the AmWay spirit. If it weren't for Amway, they would be alive. This came out in the trial as well.
