December 2011 December 6 - Cameron Cemetery was walked by Donna Thomas in October (2011) and all gravestones were photographed. We have now begun uploading those photos to Iowagravestones. A big thank you to Donna for this wonderful contribution!!! November 2011 November 30 - A Gray Cemetery page has been added. All gravestone photos have been uploaded to Iowagravestones except for the group monument which replaced numerous small older stones. A photo of the new shared monument will be added in the near future. November 23 - Oakfield Cemetery was walked by Ken Akers in July (2011) and all existing gravestones were photographed. Ken has gradually been uploading the photos to the Iowagravestones Photo Prject (GPP) and is now nearing completion of that project. A huge thank you to Ken for this tremendous contribution!!! September 2011 September 30 - Added Index to Obituaries on Ancestry's Audubon Co. Message Board, created by an Audubon County researcher and generously shared with Audubon Co. IAGenWeb. September 23 - Added transcriptions of Children Enrolled in Brayton School 1907-1908 and Brayton School 1916-1917, both transcribed from History of Brayton Iowa 1878-1978, Brayton's Centennial history book. Minor reorganization/reformatting of select pages. September 21 - Added additional photos of the Kimballton Celebration on January 1, 1908, when the Atlantic Northern Railroad reached Kimballton, Added additional identification of the individuals shown in the Kimballton Band from the Kimballton, Iowa 1883-1983 centennial history book. Added page with links to Area Funeral Homes & Newspapers with recent obituaries online. Updated main page to reflect recent additions. September 20 - Added a list of Audubon County men who served in the Civil War, transcribed from the Exira Centennial history book, 100 Years in Exira 1857 - 1957. Also added a transcription of Exira's Earliest Settlers, also from 100 Years in Exira 1857 - 1957. September 15 - Added Immanuel Lutheran Baptized Members, 1883-1920, transcribed from the Kimballton, Iowa 1883-1983 centennial history book. August 2011 August 31 - Added selected Exira Business Advertisements from the Audubon County Journal, 1924-1925. July 2011 July 24 - Added Baller to the Audubon County Surname Registry. June 2011 June 11 - Mystery house identified!! The beautiful house shown in the background of the Unknown Group of Men photo has been identified as 109 N. Main, Kimballton. Additional photos and history of the house have generously been supplied by the current owner and will be posted separately in the very near future. The event taking place in the Kimballton Street Scene photo has also finally been identified! May 2011 May 4 - Added Exira Class of 1923 class reunion newspaper article and photo. This congregation's original church building and cemetery were both located in Audubon County (Audubon Township), but when a new church building was constructed in 1927 it was built across the road in Guthrie County (Grant Township). The cemetery remains in Audubon Township.
