Audubon County Boy Scout Ben Nelson selected Luccock's Grove in Leroy Township for his Eagle Scout project. Utilizing other troop members, Ben walked Luccock's Cemetery, recorded, mapped and photographed all existing gravestones. He uploaded the photos to IAGenWeb's Iowa Gravestones Photo Project and created a detailed digital map of the gravestone locations.

We also have some additional photos of the Scouts and Scoutmaster who helped Ben with his Eagle project. Many thanks to Ben and his troop for this wonderful contribution!

Two older Luccock's Grove cemetery listings/transcriptions may also be viewed below. Both contain some errors, but also document gravestones that have since deteriorated or broken. The source of Luccock's Listing 1 was not documented when the present County Coordinator joined the project in Nov. 2009, but is believed to primarily be the 1930's WPA Grave Registration Survey.

Luccock's Listing 2(Offsite) is maintained by the Audubon County Genealogical Society. It includes some graves not listed in Luccock's Listing 1, and in some instances has slight differences in dates and spelling of names. Please check the Iowagravestone Photo Project records now available online for correct dates/names on gravestones still in existence.
