Liberty Township
Mountain Brush School was built in 1878. It was moved to Mount Ayr and used as a home. Presently located at
Lesanville, 3 miles east of Mount Ayr and north of Highway 2.

Mrs. Maxine SICKELS of Kellerton, teacher of the rural school, Liberty No. 7, has received a check in the amount of five dollars for her entry in the Teachers' Help-One-Another-Club contest, conducted by "The Instructor" of Danville, NY. The check which Mrs. SICKELS received was the award for standing paper figures submitted in the contest.
