Maloy Irish Ringgold County Basketball Champions
The Maloy Irish won the 1940 Ringgold County basketball championship on the Muont Ayr floor last week by defeating Mount
Ayr in the finals 32-26. Both teams gave a good account of themselves and the game was featured more by team play than
individual work. Members of the champsionship team are WYMAN and MOBLEY, forwards; CULVER, center, and LYNCH and SHAY,
guards. The consolation game was won by Redding, who defeated Benton 30-28.
