Commencement ceremonies this weekend
Commencement ceremonies for the graduating classes at Diagonal will be held Friday, May 15 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the south
gymnasium.A total of 10 seniors will receive diplomas during the ceremony. Valedictorian of the Class of 2015 is Kaitlyn Klommhaus, daughter of
Kevin and Shellie Klommhaus of Mount Ayr. Salutatorian is Mariah Kilgore, daughter of Larry and Melody Kilgore of Diagonal. Other members of the
Class of 2015 are Jaylee Bogan, Tristin Brown, Blake Butler, Shelby Comer, Aaron Davenport, Anthony Lohmann, Layne Ruby and Austin Still. The
senior class has chosen the following as their senior motto: "Always dependable, but never predictable." The senior colors are maroon and chrome,
and the senior flower is a maroon and chrome rose. Keynote speaker for the graduation exercise is Callie Anderson of Creston. In addition to
diplomas, a number of honors and scholarships will be awarded during the ceremony.
