Tingley Challenge Raises $3,107
For Neighborhood Center
The Tingley matching grant challenge was a big success, according to Robin SCHWANDT, director of the
Ringgold County Neighborhood Center. An anonymous donor challenged the community of Tingley and others
to raise at least $1,000 in food and money to match a grant of $1,000 they were giving. The challenge
began on December 12 and ended January 11. As a result of the challenge, the Neighborhood Center received
$2,107 of food and money plus the $1,00 for a total of $3,107. There was a total of 37 donars with
which $350 worth of food came in and $1,757 worth of money. All the food and money is designated to
be used during the next year and for food only.
