Redding Fire
A vacant house in Redding burned to the ground in a fire reported at 1:23 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20. Firemen from
Blockton, Mount Ayr and Diagonal helped battle the blaze, but the home was engulfed in flames when the fire fighters
arrived. The fire is of a suspicious origin as electricity and propane were not hooked up at the house. The state fire
marshal's office is investigating the fire.
