Officers of the newly organized Hut-Sut Club are Ruth Dennis, president; Marian Richards, vice-president; Naomi Searles, secretary-treasurer; and Junella Smith, reporter.
Dr. C. L. Seaman has been relived from further active duty with the army medical corps and will resume his practice of medicine in Mount Ayr.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sevier, of Diagonal, have moved to Beaconsfield, where Mr. Sevier will be janitor of the schoolhouse this year.
BEACONSFIELD - Dorine Pidcock went to Des Moines last week and enrolled in the Thompson Beauty School.
CLEARFIELD - Fred H. Crew, a former Clearfield boy, has quit the furniture line and is now district manager of a large area of factory goods with his office in Portland, OR.
Elaine Fawcett, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fawcett, of Clarinda, became the bride of Ralph E. Lyddon, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lyddon, of Clearfield, on Friday evening in Maryville, MO. The double-ring
ceremony was performed in the Methodist Church by the pastor, the Rev. Hockman. They will be at home in Clarinda, where Mr. Lyddon is employed at the state hospital.
BIRTHS:
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Dalbey, of Clearfield, are the parents of a son, Kirk Lynn, born July 24, in the Decatur County Hospital in Leon. Weight. eight pound and six ounces. They have one other son, Larry Ross.
CALEDONIA - Mr. and MRs. Dwight Stephens are the proud parents of a son, born Friday.
