Petitions to officially call for an election to approve bond funding for new additions to the Mount Ayr Community elementary and middle-high school buildings were passed out at a public meeting of the facilities advisory group Thursday night.

Some disscussion of the role the city could play in making new school facilities available to the public for fittness activities, approval of a disaster mitigation plan, appointments to boards and the search for a new council member were all topics for the Mount Ayr's city council's regular meeting Monday night.
