Magdalene Rebekah Lodge No. 520 has elected the following officers: Lois MOSBARGER, noble grand; Velma WIMER, vice-grand; Neva HAVILAND, recording secretary; Lavinia CAMPBELL, financial secretary; Lula WHITEMORE, treasurer; and Ada RHOADES, trustee.

Everett L. ADAMS, of Ellston, has been named business enumerator in the 1940 census for Ringgold County. Mr. ADAMS, son of Supervisor Earl M. ADAMS, off Ellston, will assume his duties January 2.

The Iowa War Records Survey came to a close yesterday throughout the state for lack of funds. Research in Ringgold County was carried on the last two years by Hugh FOSTER and James RICHMOND, who have recorded approxiamtely 600 graves of war veterans in fifty cemeteries in this county.

POE -- The Christmas program of the Poe No. five [Center] and eight [Pleasant Valley] schools will be held December 21. Those who will take part are Millicent and Carolyn WELLS, Eileen STANLEY, Opal JONES, LaVaughn and Billie LOVITT, Ann, Louise and Julia MAGGARD, Franklin MOSIER and Bill REYNOLDS.
