Ringgold County Hospital administrator Ken REGER'S resignation was accepted and board member Dick JACKSON was named
as acting hospital administrator at the end of an executive session of the hospital board Monday night.
A new addition to the Ringgold county courthouse is the new conservation display on the second floor. Already the display
features owls, a turkey, Mallard duck, cardinal and other taxidermied reminders of some of the wildlife that is part of
Ringgold county and the display will continue to be added to, according to Ringgold county conservation officer Rick
HAWKINS. A historical display is also being developed in the new display area.
TAYLOR Fiberglass of Diagonal will celebrate 25 years of business. The TAYLOR office and workshop is on the main
street of Diagonal and employs six full-time and four part-time employees.
Lightning coming into the Glenn POTTORFF home at 807 East Adams Street in Mount Ayr resulted in a hole in the wall
and a charred one-fourth of an unfinished attic. The lightning came in on a service entrance near the meter. There
was water damage in a bedroom downstairs from where the fire occurred.
