Michelle Longfellow of Clearfield and Craig McClure of Mount Ayr were crowned queen and king of the Mount Ayr Community high school homecoming activities last week.
A project to keep alive the environmental heritage of the prairie is becoming a reality in Maloy. The plot of ground is named the JZ Prairie and Grove to honor Father John Zeitler, pastor and source of inspiration to
people of the parish, who was leaving for missionary work in Tanzania, Africa.
A plea of not guilty was entered by Betsy Jones in a written arraignment filed in Ringgold county district court here Monday. Judge Peter A. Kellert entered the not guilty plea and directed counsel to confer regarding a trial
date to be set later. Jones, a Mount Ayr Community high school teacher, is charged with first degree arson in the fire last April at the Mount Ayr Community high school.
