Mount Ayr Community High School senior Tara Baker received the American Choral Directors Association award as the top choral music student as part of the spring vocal concert held Monday.

The Diagonal Community high school prom was held Friday night and chosen as royalty for the events were queen Ashley Ruby and King Nolan Newton.

Mount Ayr Community High School musicians took part in the large group music contests over the weekend. MACS concert band received a division II rating at the Iowa High School Music Association contest in Newton and first place in the World of Fun Music Festival Sunday morning.

Born, a baby girl to Michael and Emily Taylor of Ames.
