When Ellen Wilson arrived in Washington, D.C. recently, she was met at the train by Congressman Karl M. LeCompte. Miss Wilson has a permanent probation position with the legal department of the O.P.M. [United States Office of Personnel Management].

At the annual meeting of the Rose Hill Cemetery Association, the following officers were re-elected: President, Mrs. H. H. Wilson; secretary, Mrs. Ethyl Denhart; and treasurer, Mrs. W. T. Timby.

Liberty township held a home demonstration organization metting September 24.

During a recent meeting of the newly orgnized Ringgold county defense board, Roy Lepley, who had been appointed chairman of the defense council, presided. Other officers are Earle K. Allyn, secretary; Royce Davis, A. G. Moffatt, Clifford Johnson and F. J. Daughton, board members.

KELLERTON - Mrs. Harry Fugate began clerking in the Polland Grocery Store last Thursday.

Johnnie Jackson left Sunday evening from Grand Island, NE. for Washington, D.C. where he has a government job.

TINGLEY - The Rev. and Mrs. B. M. Dobbin arrived Tuesday with their household goods to begin their work as pastor of the Tingley United Presbyterian Church.
