Mount Ayr Community high school senior Shaun Hayse has been named and all-stater in individual speech competition this year.

Achievements in the FFA program were recognized and new officers installed for the 1991-92 year when the FFA chapter held its annual banquet Monday night.

Mount Ayr Community school superintendent Phil Burmeister has been named in a Ringgold county district court slander suit filed recently by David Repp and Ringgold Sanitation Inc.

Born, a daughter to Mechelle Hingeley.
