MEMORIES of SHANNON CITY

Back in the late 1940's or early 1950's I use to ride my bike from Afton down to Shannon City to visit a friend that
lived near by on a farm. On the trip down old highway 169, I would pick up pop bottles and cash them in at 5 cents each.
Mom & dad would drive down in the evening and pick me up and bring me back to Afton as I was to tired for the ride back.
