R. F. MORFORD.
R. F. MORFORD, the lively and good-natured gentleman who deftly removes superfluous hair and beard for a small consideration,
having his shop under H. H. WILSON'S grocery [Mount Ayr], was born in Cincinnati June 8, 1853. He was employed by the
Cincinnati Ice Co., and then came to Iowa in 1877. After following farming a few years he took to mercantile pursuits, living
successively in Villisca, New Market and Maryville. In 1889 he was a proprietof of a shop. He was married in 1887 to Miss
Addie E. McCARTY. They are the parents of three winsome children. Mr. MORFORD is a member of the masonic and woodmen orders
and the Methodist Church.
