Brian Edward Marr, 42, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly of Whiting, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center, Sioux City, Iowa.

A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa, with Darren C. E. Goslar, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Brian’s obituary. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Whiting City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Brian Edward was born December 2, 1981, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Thomas Marr and Cynthia (Tiemann) Parks. He grew up in Whiting, Iowa and attended school in Whiting. Brian moved to Fort Dodge and married Bianca Mae on November 5, 2011. Bianca passed away August of 2018.

Brian moved to Sioux City, Iowa, in 2021. He worked for FIMCO Industries in North Sioux City, as a forklift operator.

He enjoyed the outdoors, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and working with small engines.

Survivors include his mother, Cindy (Fred) Parks of Moorhead, Iowa; father, Tom (Patti) Marr of Whiting, Iowa; brother, Brad (Laura) Marr of Whiting, Iowa; sister, Jessie (Duane) Renz of Moorhead, Iowa; step-sisters, Nicole Jacobson of Whiting, Iowa, and Andrea Gross of Whiting, Iowa; maternal grandmother, Ione Tiemann of Onawa, Iowa; paternal grandmother, Joan Becker of Florida; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Marr; wife, Bianca Mae Marr; maternal grandpa, Robert “Buck” Tiemann; paternal grandpa, Bruce Marr; and step-sister, Danielle.
