A beautiful home wedding was solemnized Saturday evening, June 6, when Fern L. Metcalf and Theodore R. Chilton of Hornick were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard L. Metcalf. Rev. M.L. Metcalf of Morningside performed the ceremony.

“I Love You Truly” was sung by Phyllis Van Cleve, accompanied by Madge Haddock, who then played the wedding march as the bride and groom entered, attended by Mr. and Mrs. James Chilton Jr.

The bride wore a gown of white mousseline de soie and carried an arm bouquet of white tea roses. The bridesmaid wore a gown of white taffeta and carried a bouquet of pink and blue delphiniums. The wedding took place under a large white arch with a green background banked with flowers and ferns.

Mr. and Mrs. Chilton started their new life at once on a farm they have rented from the groom’s father.
