Hans Iversen - first settler in Winneshiek county?

I am looking for information on my gggrandfather, Hans Iversen,b. 1790 in Fron parish, Oppland county, Norway. He emigrated to America in 1843 with wife, Gunhild and sons, Hans and Ole, and daughter, Birthe. He was said to have been the first settler in Winneshiek County and later he stayed in Canoe township for a while before moving to California in the 1850's. Nothing is however said about his family an I can't find any information on him in historical records.
