Car Woodruff Dead.
A telegram received by B. H. Adams Tuesday afternoon stated that Carl Woodruff died that morning at his home at Franklin Park, a suburb of Chicago. Mr. Woodruff is remembered by older residents as the only son of Henry Woodruff, for many years publisher of the Decorah Journal. After going to Illinois Carl developed musical talent and at the time of his death had been a member of the faculty of the Chicago Conservatory for a number of years. He is survived by his wife and two children, his mother and sisters Gertrude and Nellie. Had he lived until January 28th he would have been forty-five years old, Mr. Adams went to Chicago Tuesday night to attend the funeral.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Jan. 28, 1870 and died Dec. 1, 1914. He is buried in Graceland Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
