M. S. Howard Dead.
[Fullerton (Cal) News.]
Morgan Homer Howard was born in Jefferson county, New York, January 30, 1826; died at the home of his son on West Commonwealth avenue, Friday, October 23, after a lingering illness. December 29, 1851, deceased was married to Mary E. Green of Herkimer county, New York, and to this union four children were born—Charles, the oldest, who died in Minneapolis a few years ago, a son and daughter in Texas, and M. H. Howard, Jr., of this city.
Deceased was in the internal revenue service in northern Iowa during the civil war and took the Lincoln vote of the Iowa soldiers in the field. He resigned this position soon after the war and engaged in business in Decorah, Iowa, where he remained for years until his health began to fail and he moved to Texas in 1870. He remained there until a few years ago, when he moved to this place where on account of his affliction he made only a few acquaintances.
Deceased is survived by a widow and three children.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in the Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, CA.
