Bailey/Whitney land inheritance

My grandmother Clara Bailey Whitney inherited some farm land and house located in (I think) section 18 of Washington Township-Wapello County Iowa circa 1908. How could I find out about exactly where this land was located-amount of acres etc.? I believe it stayed in the Whitney Family until 1948-1950. She inherited this land from her mother, Amanda Tull Bailey and John Howard Herman Bailey.
