November 11, 1971 Mrs. Ethel Hinkel, 72 formerly of 337 N. Weller died at 3:20 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital, Ottumwa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ralph and Minnie Kirkpatrick Shaw and was a resident of Wapello County all her life.
She married Peter F Hinkel April 28, 1920 in Ottumwa. He died March 9, 1949. She was preceded in death by one sister and one grandson.
She is survived by three sons, Harold and William of Ottumwa; and Harland of Melrose Park, Ill.; and three daughters Mrs. Fern Moore of Columbus Mo, Mrs. Donna Brumbaugh of Drakesville, Mrs. Anna Bell Robertson of and Eileen Young of Ottumwa; Mrs. Dorothy Barnett of Agency; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Two sisters Elizabeth Bailey of Montague Cal, and Vera Deevers of Ottumwa; and three brothers Morgan and Earl Shaw of Ottumwa and Ivan Shaw of Huntington Beach Cal.
