ENOCH R. GEE & MARGARET CUPPY MARRIAGE RECORD?

. My gg grandfather, Enoch R. Gee, married his bride, Margaret Cuppy, on 18 August 1848 in Wapello County. Am trying to prove Enoch's dad was Moses Gee Jr., and was hoping the marriage book might give the parents names as it does in the newer books.

Again, very sorry to bother you but am really desperate. Enoch was born in Gallia County, Ohio in 1823 but they didn't have birth records then. He died 26 November 1865 in Wapello County but I can't get a death certificate. Have had no luck with an obit either. Years ago I drove from Ohio to Iowa to try to find his probate records but someone had taken them out in 1968 and never returned them. It was actually an attorney and he had since passed away as I called his home and spoke to his widow.

Didn't mean to be a wind bag, just was hoping you'd understand my plight. Thank you ina advnce for your time and trouble. If any cost is incurred I'd be glad to reimburse you.
