Yes, they married in Chapman, NE on 2 Mar 1880.
Their only child Ottie was born on 26 May 1881 and all the info I've seen claims in Kirksville, MO although I've never seen primary documentation.
They weren't married long. I don't know when or where they split. But Mary married James M. McCall on 16, Aug. 1892.
In 1885 George is back in NE living with his father and step-mother according to the 1885 NE census but is listed as a "visitor". I'd have to pull out all my documentation but I also know at some point he was listed as "handicapped" I have assumed from working with the railroad as a brakeman.
Of course the 1890 census is missing and then in 1900 he shows up in Ottumwa City, IA as a border working for the railroad as a switchman and is listed as widowed which is either incorrect or he also remarried and was widowed by this time.
His four brothers who survived to adulthood all worked for the railroad also and found their way to Denver, CO. Three are buried there and one disappeared in 1899 with the last mention I have of him is a divorce record filed by his spouse in 1903 for abandonment.
