HILLSBORO - Fred P. Duncan, 76, rural Hillsboro, died at 7:22 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1990, at his home.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hillsboro Christian Church with the Rev. David Callen officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Friday and the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Memorials have been established to Hillsboro Christian Church and the Hillsboro Fire Department.
Duncan wass born July 9, 1913, near Hillsboro, the son of Elbert and Lenora Haynes Duncan. He married Kathryn Kitchen March 10, 1936, at Palmyra, Mo. A retired farmer, he was a lifetime resident of the Hillsboro community.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Patricia Summers of Hillsboro; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four brothers, Lawrence of Mount Pleasant, Roy of Keosauqua, Clayton of Farmington and Robert of Bonaparte. His parents and a great grandson preceded him in death.
