Selma Poole

Selma Morris Poole, 69, of Stockport Route 1 died at 9:57 p.m. August 29, 1990, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

She was born May 9, 1921, near Stockport to Spencer Quincy and Elsie V. Douglas Morris. She married Stuart Poole on Sept. 11, 1939, in Kahoka, Mo. He died August 22, 1963.

She was a graduate of Stockport High School and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, B.R. of Stockport; a daughter, Nedra Hootman of Riverside; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Leslie; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

The service was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 1990 at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham, the Rev. Ellis Beeman officiating. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.

Memorials may be made to the Stockport First Responders or Morris Park.
